My romance story, in news, music, causes, people.

So I know I haven’t blogged for about a week - I’m sorry hahaa. I was contemplating what I should blog about. I wasn’t sure if I should do something about my personal life (like what’s going on in my life, etc) or if I should do something about the world. I decided to do something about the world - bullying - whether it’s cyber bullying or real life bullying. Either way it’s horrible and everyone (with a just mind) should know that, whether they listen to their conscience or not.

I decided to post a video instead of an extra long blog - mainly because I have midterms tomorrow - which pretty much states the entire point of my rant… just compacted into a (about) 5 minute video featuring Final Fantasy characters. I found it on Youtube of course, but hey - that’s what it’s for. Learning new things, whether you search a CNN video or a music video made with your favorite anime characters.

A little background about the group, their name is Superchic[k] and they are an awesome group. They are a Christian band, but despite your (or my) own personal religious beliefs, what they have to say is what makes them amazing. This song is one of my favorites, but they also have a lottt more awesome songs as well.
Check out this list of some songs (which I selected - thinking they’re the most popular shows/or ones I’ve heard of) that were featured in famous movies/televisions shows - maybe you’ve heard/remember a few of them. I know I do! (Credit to Wikipedia)

MTV’s Real World/Road Rules Challenge 2005 - “Anthem”

Ice Princess - “Get Up”

Bring It On: In It to Win It - “It’s On”

Legally Blonde and Cadet Kelly - “One Girl Revolution”

Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen - “Not Done Yet” , “Na Na”

Alright, alright. Since this is supposed to be about bullying - more than the group itself - here’s the big question.

When it comes to bullying, how do you feel about it? Are you the one that does something about it, or wishes they could do something about it? If you don’t wish to answer either, how did you feel after watching the video?

So I know this subject is a little touchy - so I’ll give it a go first.

I know that bullying is universal, doesn’t matter what ethnicity, race, gender, age, country, even language, that you are/speak: it can happen anywhere, and to anyone. I’ve always been the kind of person that disliked the idea of bullying, but unfortunately, I am also pretty timid when it comes to confrontation. I wish I could be the one to stand up to the thugs pushing the kid into the trash can, but I’m too afraid of doing so. The only thing that I can possibly do is be the one there for him after the damage has been done. If I could be the one to take action when it happens - I would love myself - but I’m human; and as a human - I can only do what I’m strong or brave enough to do.

On another small note, I’ve signed up for Members Project with American Express - they deal with issues which need to be fixed, such as bullying or discrimination. You can find me as the user reai ^__^

Anyways, if you feel like it, get back to me with your opinion!

(Here’s a reminder of the questions I asked ~ just in case you forgot!)

Are you the one that does something about it, or wishes they could do something about it?

If you don’t wish to answer either, how did you feel after watching the video?

Art, Creativity and A Cause [Updated-ish..]

Previously posted, but due to commenting error, I’ve reposted it after I’ve fixed the error~ sorry ^^

So, I’ve decided to run back into my blogging habit, after a very (unfortunate) prolonged break. It always interested me how I could so-easily become addicted to one thing, and after about a month or so I have no interest.

Anyways, the first thing I wanted to note was a chance for many to volunteer and win things for their school. Sure volunteering and winning things for others seems a little ‘eh’ to some people, but hey - it’s for a great cause. I intend to do this project as well, simply because it makes sense.

As a graphics artist, I was always interested in helping others to create a piece of art to their liking - just to see them happy. This is a chance to create a piece of art (hand drawn, vectors, blending, photography - any kind of ‘image’ based art, sorry musicians) for the right cause. Help art programs all over the nation, create awareness of the issue.

Simply create a wallpaper, post it, and tell the world why art should be kept in schools.

I was never the fortunate creative kind of person. I was never good with drawing, but technology enabled me to be able to show a ‘sense’ of creativity. Some people see digital art differently than I do, but I don’t blame them. Even though I am not skilled and as amazing as other artists out there - I try my best. Art promotes creativity, even in a person like me, something everyone should have - no matter how little it may be. It is something that should not be taken away from schools - children need to have the ability to be creative. If we didn’t have creative people, a lot of technology would not exist today. If no one thought ‘out of the box’ then we wouldn’t have cellphones, computers, televisions, cars - just to list a few. Let’s help promote art in schools - in all forms. Teach the nation - the world - what art does. And show how much it means to you as a person.

Now that you’ve had my short (and possibly debatable) rant,

How do you feel about this cause? What does art mean? And why is it so important? (Or if you feel it isn’t, Why is not not important?)

Comment/reply with your answers ^^

tumblrbot asked: WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST HUMAN MEMORY?

Earliest human memory? Probably when I fell as a young child. All I remember was wearing a beautiful pink dress - the princess kind. I had pink stockings and I was walking along a concrete flower bed, I fell and scraped my knee. It was painful and I just remember seeing blood from my leg.
